An unexpected call…

Today when I got home from the gym, I needed to rest and nap in preparation for work tonight.  So, per my routine of sorts, I popped in a DVD and drifted off to sleep. I was awakened to an odd number ringing my phone and then noticed I missed some calls and texts… Additionally, when I don’t know a number, I will ignore it and let it go to voicemail… Anyhow, I ignored the call, which was promptly followed by a text that simply said, “Hey.” I saw the number was from Arizona, and I wasn’t wasted enough to give out my number while working there this weekend, so I, responded with, “Hey. Sorry who is this, I don’t have this number saved.” Thinking it may be a bill collector that got smart…

“Guess who, I owe you something”

“Sorry I have no clue. Owe me what?”

“I owe you apology”

“Ok, Um, well, tell me who is this is and let’s go from there.”

“Dawson”

I was floored and of course called him back immediately.  It was truly a great conversation that was long overdue for the both of us.  I must say its great to have him back as a friend again… We discussed quite a bit and its was nice to catch up and begin to re-build our friendship and had been worn thin by a number of factors. I don’t want ya’ll to think that we are running back to each other or things in ‘that’ sense can or will re-kindle, but I know that we will have each other as friends for many years to come.  I am happily dating again, when time allows, which in my world, means about 10 minutes of ‘personal time’ and then getting ready for work.

I must say that I am truly happy and blessed to be so lucky to have many great friends out there along with so many opportunities for me offered to further my success.  I’m so very happy and unbelievably thankful for so many opportunities; however, I am assessing a lot right now, and if my schedule continues to be this ‘fruitful’ I am truly going to sit back and assess all that I am doing and possibly look at cutting back.  I know I am burning myself out, but right now with bills and student loans to pay, I need the work.  However as long as I continue to be blessed by so many great companies within the Industry casting me in scenes, I can start to look at making some changes in order to regain a somewhat real life once again and regain the personal time that we all need to be ourselves.  Well, it is about that time for me to get ready for work…

One final note, thank you so much again Dawson, as we both said we needed to bring our friendship back and you know I’ll always be there no matter what as your friend and brother. Thank you for proving once again that you are truly the big-hearted, selfless and responsible guy we all know and I appreciate having as a friend once again.

A Wrap Party, A Boy, Rain, Wind, Snow, Bookings and a bunch of BS West!

Wednesday night found me taking the night off from my Hosting Duties at Micky’s and spending the evening with a TON of friends at Here Lounge.  As we all now know I just wrapped Channel 1 Releasing’s latest AMAZING project titled Steven Daigle XXXposed.  It was SO much fun and had a truly great experience on set under direction of Chi Chi LaRue for the 5th time! It was so much fun also being in the co-star in the Main scene with Steve, breaking him truly into becoming a Porn Star.  I also had the true joy of meeting a great guy on set, Jimmy Durando… Instant chemistry, but more on that later ;-)… Anyhow, we shot what we call B Reel there with the main background and development of the story line for this film.  The drinks were flowing and our little ‘Reunion’ of sorts, had me catching up with Judy, my former manager at Numbers, Brandon Baker, my Washington State bud in crime Roman Heart, Reah Litre, to name a few.  Wow, what a night!

After the scene was completed, we partied the night away at Here and Chi Chi even got me to return to my GoGo boy roots, strip down and dance for a set up on the bar… She played one of my favorite songs, which she plays only for me and Blake Riley, Lene Nystrom’s ‘It’s Your Duty’.  Wow, for a day that started at 6AM, it was well worth while and a total blast! Well now, alluding to my recent ‘cowboy-esque’ scene I just completed, what does one do when they fall off the horse?… That’s right, get right back on.  I was honored to have a date with C1R’s latest HOT find, Jimmy Durando on Wednesday, and what a truly amazing guy! He has done prior work with College Dudes 24/7 and is a total intelligent and sweet guy.  We ended up hitting the gym and then dinner, followed by working at Here Lounge. I now have an additional reason to make an effort to visit the family in Seattle where he is a featured dancer on Friday and Saturday nights at a great club called R Place… Go tip him and say Josh Griffin says hello! I’m really looking forward to being back home in Seattle over Valentines Day… hummm maybe I’ll have a Valentine this year ;-)

Well as the storms cleared from LA and another amazing Thursday night at TigerHeat, I was back on the road to Arizona for another Weekend At BS West in Scottsdale.  The trip there had the storms clearing from LA and making their way to AZ… Where we encountered Snow just outside Palm Springs… So crazy… I was loving it, but Lex Sabre was a bit nervous.  For someone growing up here in the southland he had never driven in snow.  It was fine not sticking to the roads… But the skies parted in the desert between Blythe, CA and Salome, AZ then it started raining again… oh well.  BS West was a great time as ALWAYS… Great music, a very friendly and accommodating bar and a truly fun crowd.

Saturday night proved interesting, Lex ventured south to Woody’s in Tucson and I remained with the boys in Scottsdale at BS West for the Blackout Party… Other than my bud Zack covering me with the insides of a glow stick, it was great and I forgive him, but that stuff is meant to be inside the plastic tubing… not on skin, it burns!! It was interesting because my former roommate showed up with his boy friend… Hadn’t seen him since we had a bit of a falling out, but it was nice to see him nonetheless. It was also great to see my ASU bff David again… always great to see him!

Well, after a 6hour haul back to LA, I’m back in town and back to work! MJ’s in Silverlake on Tuesday, Micky’s on Wednesday, a scene for Suite 703 and then TigerHeat on Thursday, and finally my first shoot with Falcon on Friday and Saturday where I get the pleasure of working with their new exclusive Landon Conrad! That and I am currently working on an event with a great friend and one of the current stars of MTV’s Real World: DC, Mike.  We are planning some events here in CA, AZ and also Colorado… So stay tuned!!

Some changes in plans…

So tonight I will not be able to do my normal hosting duties at MJ’s tonight because I have to be back on set ready to rock at 8AM tomorrow, so its another relaxing night in getting ready to do another scene and my stills tomorrow for the latest project for Chi Chi LaRue and Channel 1 Releasing! So I have to look rested and fresh and can’t be out at work until 2AM!

Relaxing and interesting day today, my usual of living at my other home, the gym amidst the rain storms and tornado warnings, yes tornado warnings here in the greater LA area. Reminded me of my days when I was living in Virginia! Such a great day!

Also, I happened to end up in the gym cafe with the one and only, Fabio… I wanted to be like… You were in ‘ZOOLANDER’! That’s all, I’m going home! Loose the hair bud, seriously!

Anyhow, limited adventures today… Big day tomoorrow, until then….

So… Time to get down bidness…

11:50AM (Monday 1/18/10) Ok, so I haven’t been this anxious for a shoot since my very first one… Its odd, but at the same time the potential for the news this will create, not only within the porn industry could also send waves through the mainstream… I don’t know if I am at all ready for this or the attention that this may generate… Guess like most things I will have to just see what happens and where this all goes. I know my scene partner is nervous on all sorts of levels because it is his first time on something like this and also the additional attention this movie may grab… Time to gather my things and get to the set…

As Snoopy used to sit on top of his dog house and type, “It was a dark and stormy night…” we yesterday that was the case! Wow, did it rain yesterday and I LOVED IT! Trying to get to set would have been interesting in my little car, so thank God I was able to get a ride with my scene partner, whose vehicle was definitely better able to handle the weather than my little car.

The shoot went so very well and I only wish I could talk about it. It was great to show someone new that, honestly it it not NEARLY as easy as it looks and to convey the the same intensity in take after take is truly exhausting! However our new guy on the scene, can now call himself a ‘porn star’ and yes, you’re pretty now ;-) Here are a few pics… more tomorrow!

Yay I finally started my blog!

This could be dangerous everyone… just a warning, I am now outside the confines of 140 spaces with Twitter and really going to start putting my own take on life and work, here online. I’ll be talking about relationships (past and present), my movie and web shoots, events that I promote, host/MC, and gogo dancing gigs… pretty much everything going on or projects that I have planned or completed. Hell, there may be a drunken post (or worse) as well… who knows?! Stay tuned!

So lets kick this off!

Tomorrow (January 18, 2010) I start filming my 5th film for Channel 1 Releasing/Chi Chi LaRue. I spent this afternoon with my buds Rob Romoni and Steve Daigle helping me get all pretty for tomorrow… well have my wardrobe all set up for my shoot. We laughed and laughed… and talked about the ‘Gay 4 Pay’ discussion currently going on within the porn blogs… Thank God this shifted the spotlight from my recently dissolved relationship with Dawson Riley.

I am truly excited for this week to kick off! Movie with one of my best friends Chi Chi; working my nights which are doing AMAZING thanks to ALL that have been attending and making my job a true joy to go to every week; TigerHeat (where I got my start) on Thursday and then back to Arizona for BS West on Friday and Saturday night with my girl Mandi Boom Boom, my bff Lex Sabre, my ASU bestie David, Zack Pearce, Brock, Hunter Long, Phillip Ashton, Tom and MANY, MANY others! The last few weeks I have loved the AZ crowds and BS West, I’m so happy to have the ability to go there so often! Lex and I look forward to our trips out there and ALWAYS have so much fun!

Ok, so I am sure you all would like me to talk more about Dawson and all that happened. Well, I will say that I still love him deeply and yes, saddened by the events that surrounded everything. However everything I needed to say is in the statement I provided to Zach and Unzipped Media, I know MANY would like me to expand on this but I will not. Dawson is accepting responsibility and doing what HE FEELS is right. NO ONE should fault him for doing that at all. I will continue to love, support him and his family, and stand by him as a friend whenever he wants me to. I hope that I have the opportunity to be his friend again and in some way be a friend to his wife and child as well. Yes, my heart will heal eventually and I will move on, but for now its a day by day process in which I am beginning to recover from… Miss ya bubbas…
